Seasonal Tasting Room Server

Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City is currently hiring for seasonal tasting room staff. Looking for fun and energetic individuals who love working with people and aren't afraid to make a sale. Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with the public while possessing the ability to intelligently share wine knowledge, encourage sales, and create an unforgettable experience for our customers. Previous wine knowledge/experience is helpful but not required. Will train qualified individuals about wine. Previous experience with restaurant hosting/serving and cashiering is also a plus! 

Duties include (but are not limited to) pouring, explaining and selling wine; maintaining appearance of tasting bar and keeping glassware clean and stocked; answering customer questions about wines and food pairings; assisting with inventory and packaging stock; operating the cash register; and assisting with opening, closing, and ongoing tasting room maintenance.

Currently looking for candidates who are available to work Friday & Saturday (Sept-Oct), and Saturdays in November. The tasting room is open (Sept-November 4th) 11am-6pm Sunday through Thursday, and 11am-7pm Friday & Saturday. After November 4th the tasting room is open daily 11am-5pm.

Must be able to stay on your feet for extended periods of time, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates need to be at least 21 years old and possess reliable transportation. Positions starting at $10 per hour, plus wine club sign up bonuses, discounts on wine, and other incentives. Brys Estate is a non-smoking establishment.
