Welcome to Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery

Spanning 111 acres, Brys Estate is one of the largest contiguous winery estates on Old Mission Peninsula. Opened in 2005, we're a family-run business that crafts wines from out 58,000 vines planted less than a mile from Lake Michigan. The Brys experience includes an old-world tasting room, unique Upper Deck with panoramic views of our expansive vineyards and East Grand Traverse Bay, a barn-turned-guest house, and serene Secret Garden with gift shop (open seasonally).

Currently taking reservations for indoor seating through April 19th. Maximum table size is 6. Groups larger than 6 will be split between tables (maximum 2 tables).

Book a table and enjoy a seated wine country experience in our brick and mahogany tasting room, barrel room, intimate cask room, or cellar. Menu items include Tasting Towers (wine flight), glasses of wine, Spiked Hot Apple Cider, and cheese & charcuterie boards. Learn more about our advanded air purification system as well as our other COVID safety protocols. 

Reservations are highly recommended. Our online reservation system shows real-time availability. Guests arriving without a reservation will be seated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Check with our host for walk-in availablility. No call-ahead seating.


We encourage guests to follow Michigan's Dine Safely Guide which includes wearing masks at all times unless eating or drinking, and keeping your party small with no more than two households.

Wine Tastings
Due to current social distancing requirements, our Main Tasting Bar and Barrel Room Tasting Bar are currently closed for traditional wine tastings.  Guests booking a table reservation may enjoy our new Tasting Tower, which includes five 1.5 oz wine samples of your choosing.

Outdoor Seating Options

Outdoor seating options are available on the Upper Deck, weather permitting (no rain, snow, or ice). All seating first come, first serve. Menu options include glasses of wine, Spiked Hot Apple Cider, and cheese & charcuterie boxes. Maximum group size 12. Please call us at (231) 223-9303 to confirm outdoor seating availability.

COVID-19 Requirements

Guests are required to have their temperatures taken via a contact-less thermometer wand prior to entering the winery. Any guest with a temperature of 100.4 F or higher will not be allowed to enter. Face masks must be worn at all times inside the building, except when seated at a designated table eating and drinking. All guests tables are spaced 6' apart, and we ask that all guests maintain the same distance from other patrons as much as possible. No more than six people to a table. For more information about our current health & safety practices click here.

Visiting With Children

Children (and other guests under 21) are welcome to visit the winery. When making a reservation please include them in your guest count. Non-alcoholic beverage options are available.

Pet Policy

Sorry, pets are not allowed inside the winery, on the Upper Deck, or at the Lawn Bar. Only service dogs with a valid license are permitted.

Outside Food & Bottle Consumption Not Permitted 

Only food and drink purchased from the Brys tasting room is permitted. Thank you for being considerate of this policy.

Directions to the winery

From Traverse City, take M-37 north 10 miles. Turn right at Blue Water Road. The entrance to Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery is ¼ mile down on the left.
